Yummy Yummeis!

Patience, Tali, and Tabor were in the kitchen making chocolate covered garlic (its supposed to be good for your memory:). As we were nearing the end, we noticed that we had leftover chocolate! So Patience mixed together a couple ingredients and covered them with chocolate. Yummy yummy!

Nutri-Treats

Ingredients:
  • About 1 1/4 c chunky peanut butter of peanut butter w/ finely chopped nuts (3/4 c PB & 1/3 c nuts...make it look like chunky peanut butter)
  • 1/2 c cranberries
  • 2T of a seed( like flax or sesame seed)
  • 3-4T wheat germ or oat bran (flax seed meal works too)
  • 1/4-1/2c hemp seed
  • 1 1/4 c+ melted chocolate chips
~ Make a base of peanut butter and nut mixture. Mix in cranberries and seeds to a good consistency. Add wheat germ if you need a thicker 'dough'. Scoop out 1T of mixture into a bowl of hemp ad roll to cover. Roll in chocolate or spoon chocolate over ball. Decorate as desired and place in freezer of fridge to dry! They are like healthy chocolate treats. Enjoy and let us know what you think!

  1. Hmmm... I think I figured out why chocolate-covered garlic is reported to be good for the memory!!! It makes so much sense now.
It's so simple: No one who has tried it has ever forgotten the experience!
...I bet aloe juice is good for the memory too! Now for a test: Ask me in 5 years what the new beverage was that I tried the first time the Normoyles visited the Staddons. :)

  2. We forgot to mention in the post...we liked the garlic sooo much that we ate two, no three chocolate-covered cloves!! You guessed, after that we had some unusual stomach pains:(! Lesson learned: garlic is good for you, but not as good in such high amounts!!!:)
We will defently ask in 5 years!! We are all up for the test!

  3. Aloe Juice is good for getting rid of toxins in the body and increasing and strengthening the hair. We have aloe vera juice to help with upset stomachs. The first time mother drank it; it was terrible, very terrible. She felt like their was a whole lot of toxins being pulled out of her mouth. It tasted like chemicals. As she continued drinking it consistently for 3 months, new hairs started to grow at the top of her head. She then read that aloe has an enzyme in it to promote hair growth. That inspired Dad to drink it. He had a sour face when he drank it and we all laughed. I had a lot of cons about tasting the Juice. Patience tried it and could not finish it the first time. My friend Natasha said that it was very disgusting. She has to dilute the aloe juice with fruit juice just to drink it.
We were invited to the Staddons for a visit and mother brought aloe juice. She offered that the Staddons try it. The next day Donald did and Michael followed. They both said it tasted like lemon water. Two days after on 3/25/13 around 5:00 p.m., I tried the aloe juice too hoping that it would not taste bad. It didn't. It tasted like lemon water with a little ting. Tabor tried it right after me following his older siblings example like Michael did. Soon after Tali did too. We all three of us decided that it was not as bad as we thought. After reading this post out to the family Luka said," Can I try it?" and Nate followed "Me Too?" So, thank you Donald for trying the new beverage :).

P.S. Was it really as bad as Garlic, Michael? I wrote down the date so that I would remember.
